None of my relatives that I am aware were held in concentration camps or perished in extermination camps during the Holocaust - but being Jewish, I'm sure someone in my lineage was affected.  That being said, visiting Yad Vashem, one of the most comprehensive Holocaust museums in the world, is still a very unsettling experience.

A new spin on an old story - and a surprise within the mountains of Masada. That's how our day began.

There are still four days left of our Israeli adventure, but it's going to be hard to top today's events. Nothing I've ever experienced even comes close to bringing out the range of emotions I feel when praying at the Western Wall. 

Our tour guide is both an educator and philosopher. As we left Galilee for our final destination of Jerusalem, something he said resonated with me.  "Christians come to the Holy Land, Jews come to the Homeland."

Tradition - not the Broadway musical song, but the real deal. The Hebrew prayers and readings of the Torah are the same words that have been spoken for centuries.
