I'm Roz Varon, and I love Chicago!

I was born here, grew up here, got my college degree here, and it’s the only city where I’ve ever worked. Doesn’t get more “Chicago” than that! I’m the Traffic Anchor at ABC7 Chicago Eyewitness News - a perfect fit, as I know my way around this city inside and out! I was hired more than 25 years ago when the station launched its morning newscast. I was the first traffic anchor in the country to bring rush hour traffic reporting from radio to television morning news.

Helping people around transportation headaches is just part of my passion. I love to travel, exploring the good old U. S. of A., to more exotic destinations overseas - and sharing my discoveries with you!

I’m an ardent pet lover, dogs in particular. When my daughter’s away at college, my pets are my children. Speaking of my daughter, she’s my only - ‘nuff said!

You may see me around town at various breast cancer prevention and awareness events. A survivor since 2006, motivational speaking is near and dear to my heart.

Life is a journey, not a destination. I hope you enjoy my life adventures in Chicagoland, and beyond!
